Northfield Park has recently been renovated and is now open for the public to enjoy.
The large Barfield Pavilion is available for rental and will hold up to 150 people. Please call Parks Administration at 817-427-6620 or email nrhpard@nrhtx.com to inquire on availability and rates.
The Northfield Park Renovation Project was completed in Fall 2018. Northfield Park, the 4th oldest park in the City’s park system, recently had a complete makeover, with construction activities that began November 6, 2017. Throughout the process, the Parks & Recreation Department sought community input regarding renovation of the park. The $5.68 million construction cost is funded by the half-cent sales tax for park development and park impact fees, which are paid to the city by developers, as well as a $500,000 grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Construction was completed in September 2018 with a ribbon cutting held on September 29, 2018.
