Is outdoor burning allowed?

Outdoor burning is not permitted within the North Richland Hills city limits.

Outdoor fireplaces are permitted, as well as a commercial-built chiminea with a spark eradicator. If the smoke causes a nuisance to neighbors it will have to be extinguished. Propane-burning fire pits are recommended. They should be located 15 feet from any structure.

Please contact the Fire Marshal's office at 817-427-6925 if you have questions.
