Congratulations to Mayor Oscar Trevino on receiving the 2021 Planning Advocate Award from the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association! This award honors an individual who has advanced or promoted the cause of planning in the public arena. Mayor Trevino has been actively involved in community planning at the local and regional level for 20 years, helping to foster the development of quality neighborhoods and community amenities in North Richland Hills and to bring commuter rail and transportation improvements to Northeast Tarrant County.
Chance Sparks, president of the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association, presented the award to Mayor Trevino at the association's annual conference held recently in Fort Worth. Joining Mayor Trevino when he accepted the award were NRH Planning & Zoning Commission Chairman Justin Welborn and Planning Director Clayton Comstock. We are grateful to each of them for their continued dedication to planning for the future of our community.
