Motorists should expect lane closures on Mid Cities Boulevard near Birdville High School and NYTEX Sports Centre on Saturday morning, March 7, for the 5Kan Fun Run. The run begins at the Birdville Fine Arts & Athletic Center at 8 a.m. Runners will head west on Mid Cities Boulevard to Ice House Drive and continue along the Walker’s Creek Trail making a loop back to Mid Cities and the Fine Arts & Athletic Center. Lane closures will begin at 7 a.m. and will reopen to traffic by noon. Please use caution and obey traffic officers when traveling this area.
