Following Sunday's storm, city crews and Oncor worked throughout the night to remove downed trees from roadways and restore power to homes and intersections. Power has been restored to most areas at this time. If you are still without power, you can find an estimated restoration time at http://stormcenter.oncor.com.
City crews continue to focus cleanup efforts today at Richfield Park and adjacent neighborhoods which were impacted most by the storm. Crews will be speaking with as many residents as possible regarding debris removal and cleanup and leaving door hangers with information at each home.
If you live outside of the Richfield Park area and have downed tree limbs and other debris from yesterday’s storm, you can place them on your curb this week for collection by Republic Waste. The requirement for bundling limbs is being waived for storm debris collections this week. Republic will be picking up as much storm debris as they can during regular collections this week. If your limbs are not collected by Friday, please let us know at 817-427-6650.
NRH residents also have the option to haul limbs or other storm debris to the landfill in Arlington. Each North Richland Hills household gets two free entries into the landfill per year. A voucher must be presented to the landfill attendant along with your driver's license. Vouchers may be obtained online at www.nrhtx.com/landfill or at the Water Department at City Hall.
