A new type of delivery service is proposed for North Richland Hills. Wing Aviation is seeking to expand its drone delivery service to our community. If approved, North Richland Hills would be the first city in Tarrant County where Wing operates and the fourth in North Texas. Wing started providing drone delivery services in Frisco and Little Elm in 2022 and Lewisville in 2023.
Public hearings will be held before the NRH Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council regarding Wing’s landing pad and surface operations. The hearings will be limited to what the city can regulate, since the FAA regulates airspace operations once a drone is airborne. Wing already has approval from the FAA to operate drones in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to deliver packaged goods to customers.
Public hearings will take place in the City Council Chamber, 3rd floor of City Hall and will be streamed online.
