Sewer Rate Increase

Water coming out of faucet sink andn going down the drain

North Richland Hills sewer rates will be adjusted on October 1, 2023. There will be no change to water rates this year.

The sewer rate will increase by $0.53 per 1,000gallons. The impact on the average residential water customer will be $2.40 per month. This is an average and will vary based on your actual usage.

The rate increase is due to increasing costs for transporting and treating wastewater. Because theCity of North Richland Hills purchases wastewater treatment services from the City of Fort Worth and the Trinity River Authority, their rate changes are passed on to NRH water customers. The City ofNRH does not mark up or make a profit off of the pass through rate increases.

Questions about your monthly bill may be directed to the Water Office at 817-427-6200 or by emailing customerservice@nrhtx.com. Phones are answered weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.and until 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays.
