Household Hazardous Waste

containers of oil, gas, cleaning chemicals and paints

For a number of years, the City of North Richland Hills has partnered with the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center (ECC) for disposal of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) such as cleaners, chemicals, automotive fluids and pesticides, however, rates for the ECC are set to nearly double on Oct. 1, 2023. As a result, the City has decided not to renew its contract with the ECC and will begin hosting periodic HHW collection events for North Richland Hills residents instead.

North Richland Hills will host a HHW collection event on April 13, 2024 for NRH residents in the parking lot at NRH2O Waterpark. You can visit www.picktime.com/neighborhoodservices to reserve a timeslot to drop off HHW at the April 13 event.

The last day North Richland Hills residents can drop off HHW at the ECC is Saturday, Sept. 30. In order to do so, you will need to bring a valid ID with an NRH address or a copy of your NRH water bill. Please visit www.nrhtx.com/hhw or contact Neighborhood Services at 817-427-6650 for more information.
