Glenview Drive Improvements

Lane Closed Sign

August 14, 2023  Update

All lanes of Glenview Drive have reopened between Vance Drive and Chapel Park Drive. Lane closures remain in place from Vance Drive east to Boulevard 26 as Atmos continues working in that area. Following Atmos’ pipeline improvements, the city will begin its project to reconstruct Glenview Drive.

May 22, 2023 Post

Lane closures on Glenview Drive have been extended westward as contractors with Atmos Energy make progress on replacing a 16-inch gas pipeline beneath the roadway.

Originally between Boulevard 26 and Vance Drive, the lane closures now extend between Boulevard 26 and Chapel Park Drive, west of Rufe Snow Drive. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction. Please slow down and watch for workers in this area.

After Atmos completes its pipeline improvements, the city will begin its project to reconstruct Glenview Drive with reinforced concrete pavement.

March 15, 2023 Post

Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction on Glenview Drive from just east of Boulevard 26 to Vance Road for utility work. Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible. Please slow down and watch for workers if you must travel this area.
Atmos Energy has closed the north side of Glenview to replace a 16-inch gas pipeline beneath the roadway. Atmos has indicated that their project will be completed in 2 phases - the first between Boulevard 26 and Vance and the second between Vance and Chapel Park Drive. The pipeline project is expected to take about 4 months to complete.

Following Atmos' improvements, the city will reconstruct Glenview Drive with reinforced concrete pavement. You can learn more about the street reconstruction project on the
2020 Street Bond Program webpage.
