If you’re needing to dispose of limbs, fence panels or other bulky items following Sunday's storm, here are some reminders from Republic Services:
- Brush, tree limbs, leaves and other yard waste must be bagged, canned or tied in bundles no longer than 4 feet in length weighing no more than 50 pounds.
- Stockade-type fence panels must be cut into 4-by-6-foot sections or smaller. Loose pickets or slats must be tied and bundled.
- Place bagged household trash in a separate pile from limbs and yard waste. When trucks are getting full, priority is given to household trash. Limbs and yard waste may not be collected until your second collection day of the week.
- You also have the option to take brush and bulky items directly to the landfill. Each North Richland Hills household gets one free entry into the landfill per month. A voucher must be presented to the landfill attendant along with your driver's license. Vouchers may be obtained online at www.nrhtx.com/landfill or at the Water Department at City Hall.
