Bedford Euless Road Improvements

road work ahead

May  15, 2023 Update

As of late Friday (May 12) two-way traffic on Bedford Euless Road was reestablished. Work continues on the northern side of the roadway including installation of sidewalks, ADA ramps and paving at the intersections of Maple, Nevada and Eldorado.  Access to Colorado Boulevard and Strummer Drive from Bedford Euless remains open.

April 24, 2023 Update

Starting today, Bedford Euless Road will be reduced to one-way eastbound traffic only between Boulevard 26 and Strummer Drive. The one-way traffic is expected to last for two to three weeks (dependent upon the weather) while new concrete pavement is being placed on the northern half of the roadway. All westbound traffic is being detoured via Strummer Drive to Boulevard 26.

April 21, 2023 Update

The switch to one-way traffic on Bedford Euless Road has been rescheduled. We now anticipate it to start early next week. We will provide an update on the timing once we get confirmation.

April 19, 2023 Update

Starting Friday, April 21, Bedford Euless Road will be reduced to one-way eastbound traffic only between Boulevard 26 and Strummer Drive. The one-way traffic is expected to last for two to three weeks (dependent upon the weather) while new concrete pavement is being placed on the northern half of the roadway. All westbound traffic will be detoured via Strummer Drive to Boulevard 26.

Businesses on Bedford Euless Road will remain open and accessible to eastbound motorists during this phase of construction. We anticipate there being one more period of one-way traffic when the final concrete lanes are poured in early summer.

Sept. 23, 2022 Post

If you’re wondering about the big hole that’s been dug on Bedford Euless Road in front of Ernie’s Seafood, it’s for improvements to the underground storm drain system. This work will take approximately 1 month, weather permitting. Once that’s finished, they’ll get started on reconstructing Bedford Euless Road from Booth Calloway Road to just east of Strummer Drive. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the project. Access to restaurants and other businesses on Bedford Euless will remain open. Please slow down and use caution when traveling in this area.

The improvements to Bedford Euless Road are part of the 2020 Street Bond Program. You can learn more about the street bond projects at www.nrhtx.com/2020bond.
