Park Maintenance and Operations

North Richland Hills Park Maintenance and Operations staff are the daily stewards and caretakers of over 800 acres of park and open spaces along with over 30 miles of hike and bike trails.  The PMO team carries a depth of knowledge and experience to manage and care for each unique developed and undeveloped natural space throughout the North Richland Hills community.

With the resources and research of national, state and local organizations and best practices; the PMO team works to regularly review and develop the maintenance and operation standards that support long-time preservation of these valuable natural areas.

While most residents and visitors see daily landscaping, mowing, turf care, irrigation management and general cleaning of parks and trails; the PMO team also cares for a variety of ponds and waterways, a vast community tree canopy within the parks and open spaces, multiple city facility exterior landscapes, numerous medians and right-of-ways throughout the city, and all city owned playgrounds, pavilions, sports fields, sport courts, park facilities, restrooms, and park amenities.  The PMO team also supports all city wide special events.

This team of professionals is always behind the scenes ensuring the safety, beauty, health and viability of the entire NRH Parks and Trails systems is preserved for many years to come.
