Overview
The Youth Advisory Committee serves as a liaison between the City Council and the youth of the community on the issues affecting youth. The committee learns how their local government operates, hosts guest speakers on topics effecting the youth of our community, organizes community service projects each semester and gives reports to the City Council each year. The Youth Advisory Committee is a great opportunity to learn about the community and local government, to serve the community through volunteering and meet new friends.
Qualifications
Must be a North Richland Hills resident in high school.
Appointment Process
Once an application is received, it will be reviewed by the Youth Advisory Committee. If selected, the Mayor and City Council will appoint the applicant to the Youth Advisory Committee for a one year term. Members in good standing are automatically reappointed to the committee.
