Managing Director of Infrastructure and Capital Projects
As Managing Director of Infrastructure and Capital Projects, Mike Curtis oversees the city’s facility maintenance, fleet services and capital projects, and sits on the city’s Development Review Committee. He is North Richland Hills’ liaison to a variety of regional groups such as the Regional Transportation Council, the Tarrant Regional Transportation Council, Trinity River Authority, Fort Worth Water and similar entities in which the City has an active interest.
Mr. Curtis is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He has a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master's in business administration from the University of Dallas. He is a member of the Institute of Transportation (ITE), Texas Water Utilities Association and American Public Works Association (APWA).
Mr. Curtis joined the City of North Richland Hills in 1992 as a staff engineer. He was promoted to capital projects coordinator, assistant director of public works and director of public works before being named as a managing director in 2008. His areas of responsibility have shifted to meet the needs of the city and he assumed his current title in October 2020.
