Mark Hindman

City Manager


Mark Hindman joined the City of North Richland Hills on October 1, 2009. As City Manager, he is responsible for managing all operations of the city and reports to the City Council.

Mr. Hindman began his career in public service in 1983 working for the Senate Finance Committee in Washington, D.C. After two years in Washington he completed management internships at the City of Olathe, Kansas and the City of University Park, Texas. He was then hired by the City of Lubbock, Texas, where he served for eight years and worked his way up from the position of budget analyst to director of finance / support services. In 1995, he was hired as assistant city manager for the City of Mesquite. He served in this position for 14 years, overseeing multiple city departments and numerous employees.

Mr. Hindman is a member of the International City / County Management Association, the Texas City Management Association and the Northeast-Richland Lions Club. He has a bachelor's degree in sociology from Geneva College in Pennsylvania, as well as a master's of public administration degree from the University of Kansas. He is married with three children.
