Explore NRH cycling, trail system

Have you seen this image on billboards around town or on social media? Our Explore North Richland Hills campaign features some of the fabulous art, exciting places and unique experiences found in our great city!

With Spring upon us, now is the perfect time to head to the great outdoors and explore all that North Richland Hills has to offer. Whether you enjoy cycling, running or strolling with a friend, with more than 30 miles of hike and bike trails across NRH, there are no limits to how far you can go.

The city’s trail system not only provides opportunities for recreation and fitness, but it links our neighborhoods, provides a portal to parks and open spaces, and creates a network for alternative transportation. Whether your favorite trail is the John Barfield Trail with its scenic views of flowing creeks and diverse wildlife throughout the Little Bear Creek corridor or the Cotton Belt Trail, extending through the heart of NRH alongside the Cotton Belt railroad tracks, NRH has 8 different trails to inspire the adventurer in you!

If you can’t wait to hit the trails, be sure to join us for the Mayor’s 5K Run & Walk on Saturday, March 14 and the ‘Round The Town with Oscar bike ride on Tuesday, March 24. For more information on NRH trails, please visit the Parks & Trails page

Whether you are a longtime resident, new to the community, or just visiting, we invite you to explore North Richland Hills and enjoy all our community has to offer! Watch for a new Explore North Richland Hills post each month.
