The city offers medical, dental and vision plans to full-time employees and their dependents, as well as health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts. Full-time employees are also provided with a life insurance policy equal to three times their annual salary, as well as optional supplemental life and long-term disability programs.
Vacation & Leave
The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as 10 paid holidays. Regular, full time employees earn two weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.
The city provides a retirement plan to eligible employees through the Texas Municipal Retirement System, as well as a voluntary supplemental 457 deferred compensation plan.
Educational assistance is reimbursable for certain course expenses.
