Junior Fire Academy

What is the Junior Fire Academy? 

The program is designed to provide children ages 11-16 with an opportunity to learn about the daily life of a firefighter. You will get a front-row seat to hands-on training in this week-long adventure. During the training, attendees will get to learn and try out fire equipment, tour stations, obtain CPR certification and more! 

Is there a fee?

There is no charge for participants! 

Who are the instructors? 

The instructors consist of members of the Fire Marshal's office as well as a variety of other team members from NRHFD. 

When and where is the class held? 

Due to the overwhelming response to the sign-up, the class is now full. A waitlist will be created! Thank you for your interest in the program! 
The JFA will be held from June 24 through June 28, 2024 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Public Safety Training Center off Dick Fisher and Iron Horse Blvd. The class has 20 slots available.
