Seasonal Game Play & Organized Scrimmages
If you are seeking a field to host organized scrimmages or league games (either single or double-header), there is a limited number of sites and availability for these types of play. If there is availability for teams outside of already scheduled NRH programs or Youth Association contracted play, requests can be made to the NRH Parks and Recreation Athletics Division.
Organized scrimmages & league game fees are $150 per game/scrimmage. The potentially available times for game play is from 6 pm - 10 pm one night per week. Tournament Site Options
Northfield Park, 7804 Davis Blvd – Adult Softball Only Northfield Park, renovated in 2018, is ideal for corporate tournaments, family reunions, and small benefit tournaments conducted by employers as team building for their employees and philanthropic development within their business and outreach to the community. There are three softball fields located at Northfield Park. Because of the high volume of regular community and public use, Northfield Park cannot accommodate sanctioned public softball tournaments.
Walker’s Creek Park, 8403 Emerald Hills Way – Girls Fast-Pitch Softball – Walker’s Creek Park has four fields, a concession stand available for reservation and a tournament/umpire meeting room available for reservation. Tournament reservation requests must be received a minimum of one month prior to the tournament date(s) requested for Walker’s Creek Park.
*Fossil Creek Park, 6101 South Onyx Drive has two fields for over flow tournament games; however, this site would require the tournament host to provide public portalets as restrooms at this site as there are no permanent public restrooms located at Fossil Creek Park.

Each tournament host is responsible for providing a certificate of liability for the event hosted on City of North Richland Hills park property. No tournament approval will be permitted without this documentation. Additional City of North Richland Hills Parks and Recreation rental permits must be signed including the City of North Richland Hills liability waiver. All documents from the city will be sent directly to the tournament host point of contact for review and signature. No rental activities can occur until all documentation is complete.
