Where Do Your Property Taxes Go?
Property Tax Rates
A resident's overall property tax bill includes taxes assessed by the following taxing jurisdictions. Each jurisdiction sets their tax rate annually, in conjunction with the adoption of their annual budget.

Keller ISD taxes. rather than Birdville ISD taxes. The Keller ISD tax rate is $1.54 per $100 property valuation.)
Property Tax Exemptions
The City of North Richland Hills provides:
- 15% homestead exemption
- $36,000 exemption for senior citizens (65 and older) and disabled residents
- tax freeze for senior and disabled residents
To verify you have the senior exemption and tax freeze in place, visit the Tarrant Appraisal District online and search for your property. In the exemptions section it should list "Over 65 Homestead." Questions may be directed to the Tarrant Appraisal District at 817-284-0024.
