The Northeast Tarrant Teen Court proudly serves North Richland Hills, Haltom City and Watauga. Teen Court is a voluntary program for middle and high school students, ages 12-18, who have received a citation in North Richland Hills, Haltom City or Watauga.

The Teen Court benefits both youth and community by providing an alternative method of adjudicating youth offenders. Teens are held responsible for their behavior while giving them the opportunity to participate in and become knowledgeable about the judicial system.  Volunteer teen attorneys present offender's cases to a jury of their peers. Juvenile Offenders "pay" for their offense(s) by performing community service and participating in Teen Court. Upon successful completion of the program, offender's cases are dismissed and do not appear on their permanent records.

Teen Court alleviates the strain on the regular court system, while giving youth offenders a second chance. The program also provides area youth a chance to participate in the judicial process.  This includes both those who are working off their fines, and those who are volunteering their time to earn community service hours.
