Family 4th Fireworks Show


Thousands of residents and visitors are expected to celebrate our country's most patriotic holiday at the 5th Annual Quad Cities Family 4th Fireworks Show. The Cities of North Richland Hills, Haltom City, Richland Hills and the Quad Cities DFW Foundation are hosting this year's spectacular event, along with title sponsor Chesapeake Energy.

The show will start at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2009, and will include 20 minutes of dazzling and stunning pyrotechnics. The fireworks can be seen from the parking lots of Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum, 6108 Broadway Avenue in Haltom City, and the ATI Career Training Center 6351 Boulevard 26 in North Richland Hills. (Both are located south of Loop 820, near the intersection of Boulevard 26 and Broadway Avenue.) Parking is free at both locations and will be available on a first come first served basis, so plan to come early. Vehicles will not be allowed to park along the street.

Prior to the fireworks show, The Farside Band will perform from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. in the parking lot of Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum. The concert will include classic rock and pop favorites from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Patriotic music will be simulcast live during the fireworks show on KDKR Radio 91.3 FM. Don't forget to bring chairs, blankets, picnic baskets, food, non-alcoholic drinks, and games for the family to play while waiting for the fireworks. Please, make food ahead of time. Please, prepare food in advance. No outdoor cooking or grilling devices will be permitted. No personal fireworks will be allowed. Please leave pet at home.

Fireworks Prohibited in NRH
The City of North Richland Hills reminds residents that the private use, sale, or possession of fireworks is prohibited in North Richland Hills.

The North Richland Hills Fire Department also reminds you to install a smoke alarm on every level or your home. Test the batteries every month and change them at least once a year. Develop and practice fire escape and evacuation plans with your family.
