Texas Brahmas Hockey

The City of North Richland Hills is proud to be the home of the Texas Brahmas hockey team!

North Richland Hills congratulates the Texas Brahmas on their successful 2007-08 season. In their first year playing at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, the Texas Brahmas found success coming just one game short of the Central Hockey League finals.

The North Richland Hills City Council recognized the team during its April 28 City Council meeting and declared April 28, 2008 as "Texas Brahmas Day". May fans attended the event as well as Texas Brahmas players, coaches, ownership, management and staff.

NYTEX Sports Centre

The NYTEX Sports Centre, formerly known as Blue Line Ice, is located at 8851 Ice House Dr. The center features two indoor ice rinks. In addition to serving as the home for the Texas Brahmas, the center offers adult and youth hockey leagues and camps, figure skating and recreational skating. The facility also features The Hockey Shop, which sells Brahmas merchandise and a wide variety of hockey equipment and apparel.

The NYTEX Sports Centre is also the home of Tejas Volleyball. Tejas Volleyball is a 501©3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing the ultimate volleyball experience for the junior club player. To learn more about Tejas Volleyball, visit www.tejasvolleyball.com.

The Dallas Derby Devils also call NYTEX home. The Dallas Derby Devils are the original DFW roller derby league with a current roster of 90+ active skaters, making DDD the largest flat track derby league in the south. The Derby Devils are a proud member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), a national governing body of flat track leagues that are skater owned and operated.
