Rental Program Effective April 1, 2012
On October 24, 2011, the City Council adopted a single-family rental ordinance designed to improve building conditions and deal with other problems that affect the quality of life in our neighborhoods. As of April 1, 2012, all single-family rentals must be inspected and issued a certificate of occupancy before a tenant can be authorized to move into a rental unit or have the water utilities transferred to the new tenant’s name. For more information, please review Single-Family Rental Inspections on the Building Inspection Department's website.

New residential applicants must return the application, deposit of $100.00 and service charge of $10.00 in person in our office, along with a state issued picture ID for identity verification purposes.  For current customers who are activating additional services, your application may be returned by mail, or dropped off at the night drop with your deposit payment in the form of a check or money order.  Current customers can also send the application by fax to (817-427-6202) along with a credit card authorization form and a copy of picture ID.  If you are a customer seeking to re-establish service and there is evidence of non-payment on a prior account, a deposit in an amount equal to double the current deposit schedule is required to establish service.

Please allow 24 hours after processing of application and remittance for water service to be restored.  Applications are processed Monday through Friday.

Garbage and recycling collection is provided by Duncan Disposal and will be established in conjunction with your new water service.  Recycle bins may be picked up in the Utility Customer Service Office at your convenience.  For more information about garbage collection please visit the Duncan Disposal website
