Elections
November Election
An election will be held on November 4, 2014 for Texas governor and other state and county offices. Texans will also decide on Proposition 1, a state constitutional amendment providing for the use and dedication of certain money transferred to the state highway fund to assist in the completion of transportation construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation projects, not to include toll roads. The Birdville and Keller Independent School Districts have bond programs on the ballot.

Early Voting
Early voting will take place October 20 - 31. 2014. In North Richland Hills, early voting will be held at the North Richland Hills Public Library, 9015 Grand Ave., and the Dan Echols Center, 6801 Glenview Dr. Early voting hours are:

  • Monday - Friday, Oct. 20 - 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; 
  • Saturday, Oct. 25, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
  • Sunday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.;
  • Monday - Friday, Oct. 27 – 31, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.;

Municipal Elections

The City Secretary serves as the Chief Election Official for the City of North Richland Hills and is responsible for conducting all City elections as prescribed by the Election Code of the State of Texas.

Council Elections
The North Richland Hills City Council is composed of a Mayor and seven Council members. All are elected at large. The general election to elect officers of the City is held on the second Saturday in May of each year. The Mayor and Council members in Places 2, 4 and 6 are elected for two year terms in even numbered years. Council members in Places 1, 3, 5 and 7 are elected for odd numbered years.
