Members
There are five members in the Gas Board of Appeals. The chairperson of the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Zoning Board of Adjustment, the Parks and Recreation Board, the Keep North Richland Hills Beautiful Commission and the Substandard Building Board serve as members.

Powers & Duties
The Gas Board of Appeals hears and decides appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the gas inspector or the Development Review Committee relative to the application and interpretation of Gas Well Drilling and Production provisions of Chapter 104 of the North Richland Hills Code of Ordinances. The board is authorized to decide by majority vote requests for deviations authorized by Chapter 104, deviations from landscape and screening requirements and hear requests for allowing setback variances on specific sites within the city.
