The Budget Department is made up of three divisions:
- Budget
- Tax
- Internal Audit
The Budget division is responsible for the development and communication of the
City's service, policy, operations, and financial plans through the publication
of the Annual Budget & Plan of Municipal Services and the Capital Projects
Budget. The Budget division develops, coordinates, and monitors the City of
North Richland Hills' financial operations. Other functions include monitoring
revenue, expenditure and performance trends and special projects assigned by
City management.
The Tax division monitors the progress of the City's property tax collections,
adjusting as required by changes in Federal and State law. This division also
maintains a database of all property tax owners and responds to citizen
inquiries. Information about property values in North Richland Hills is
available from the Tarrant Appraisal
District. Information about property tax bills and payments is
available from
Tarrant County Tax Assessor Collector.
The Internal Audit division is responsible for examining and evaluating the
activities of the City with the objective of assisting management, at all
levels, in the effective discharge of their duties. The scope of audit includes
all activities performed by and for the City of North Richland Hills.
