TEXRail will be closing all lanes of Mid Cities Boulevard at the Cotton Belt railroad crossing next week to replace the train tracks that cross the road. The road closure is scheduled from 7 a.m. Tuesday, August 15 through 7 p.m. Saturday, August 19.
Message boards have been posted along Mid Cities to alert the traveling public to the upcoming closure. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Holiday Lane, Chapman and Rufe Snow. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Iron Horse Boulevard, Liberty Way and Holiday Lane.
The Cotton Belt Trail will remain open to pedestrians and cyclists during this work.
