Kyle McAfee

Chief McAfee serves the North Richland Hills Fire Department as the Assistant Chief of Administration.

He has worked for the city since January 1991, as a Firefighter and Paramedic. In January of 1999 he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and served as the Fire Department’s Resource Officer. He then served as a Lieutenant in the Operation’s Division until he was assigned as the City’s Emergency Medical Services Coordinator in April of 2007. In August of 2008, he was promoted to Battalion Chief and served as a Fire Department Shift Commander in the Operation’s Division until he was promoted to Assistant Chief in January of 2013.

Chief McAfee has a Bachelor’s Degree from Waldorf University in Fire Science Administration and is a Certified Public Manager through the William P. Hobby Center for Public Service of Texas State University. He is currently working to complete the Executive Fire Officer Program at the National Fire Academy, as well as, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on Public Administration from Waldorf University.

He holds certifications as a Fire Officer I, II, III, & IV with the International Pro Board Fire Service Professional Qualifications System with additional certifications from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection as a:
