Mike Curtis oversees the city's development services, including Public Works street and traffic divisions, water and sewer utilities, engineering, transportation and rail initiatives, and the Development Review Committee. He also oversees the Facilities & Construction Management and Fleet Services departments.
Mr. Curtis is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He has a bachelor's of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a master's in business administration from the University of Dallas. He is a member of the Institute of Transportation (ITE), Texas Water Utilities Association and American Public Works Association (APWA).
Mr. Curtis joined the City of North Richland Hills in 1992 as a staff engineer. He was promoted to capital projects coordinator, assistant director of public works and director of public works before being named as managing director of development services in 2008.
