Council member Tom Lombard

Tom Lombard was first elected to the City Council in May 2009 and re-elected three times. He served as Mayor Pro Tem 2012-2013.

Mr. Lombard currently serves on the following boards and committees:
  • North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG), Vice President
  • Texas Municipal League (TML), Region VIII - First Vice-President
  • National League of Cities Hispanic Elected Local Officials (HELO)
  • National League of Cities Information Technology and Communications (ITC) Steering Committee
Prior to joining the City Council, he served on the following city boards and school district committees:
  • NRH Parks & Recreation Board (Chair), 2006-2009
  • NRH Parks & Recreation Facilities Development Corp., 2006-2009
  • NRH Gas Board of Appeals Board, 2008-2009
  • Birdville ISD Bond Study Committee, 2006
  • Birdville ISD Bond Oversight Committee (Chair), 2006-2009
Mr. Lombard has been a resident of North Richland Hills since 1994. He is employed as a software engineer with AT&T.

He is a 1978 graduate of the University of Dayton (Dayton, OH) with a Bachelor of Arts and a 1984 graduate of Bellarmine University (Louisville, KY) with an Associate of Applied Science.

Mr. Lombard and his wife, Paula, have been married since 1985 and have three daughters. They are members of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church.
